A customised AMR for your workflows and carts

Every HELKO is tailor-made: mechanics, electronics, software, and design are adapted to your layout, workflows, and carts.

Every HELKO is unique

HELKO is not a standard robot: it is a modularly designed AMR system customised to perfectly integrate with your operational environment, your logistics, and your carts.

Eureka System directly handles the development and integration of every mechanical, electronic, and software component with an OEM approach: we start from a proven technological base and transform it to fully meet 100% of your operational goals, without compromise.

The story of the HELKO project

HELKO was born from an insight by our CEO, following numerous visits to a variety of manufacturing plants: internal logistics of carts was inefficient, manual, often overlooked, yet with enormous potential.

From this observation started a fully Italian project that combines Eureka System’s mechatronic and software expertise with several strategic partners. The goal: creating a flexible AMR solution designed to move carts and ready to be tailored perfectly to each customer.

A longstanding collaboration born with the development of the mobile robot Jobot®, for which Eureka System developed the mapping, telemetry collection, and fleet management software.

Already a partner in the AMR Jobot project, Proxima Robotics developed HELKO’s autonomous navigation system in ROS 2.

The concept of the robotic truck unit was the result of a creative process personally involving the professional designer and owner of Dario Lopez Studio.

This is how HELKO was born: a robust, scalable, and customisable AMR solution designed from the start to be integrated seamlessly in real-world environments.

How a HELKO project is born

No two HELKO installations are identical: each AMR system is tailored to its real operational context, working in close collaboration with your technical team.

1. Analysis of flows and spaces

We study the current routes, human-machine interactions, operational challenges, and architectural constraints.
We assess the types of carts used, transport frequencies, and the interaction with other systems (warehouse, production lines, offices, departments, etc.).

2. Customised technical proposal

Based on the analysis, we propose a HELKO configuration tailored to your needs: bespoke mechanical design for the application, mapping of routes and logistic nodes, mission configuration, and software integration.

3. Pilot phase and on-site testing

We trial the solution in a sample area to validate workflows, routes, and timings. After that, we fine-tune the software, interfaces, and mechanics until the desired performance is achieved.

4. Commissioning and scalability

We integrate HELKO with your enterprise software (ERP, WMS, MES) to enable a fully automated workflow. Once validated, the system can be scaled across multiple routes, robots, and departments.

Open and interoperable architecture

Full software control

HELKO comes with a complete and customisable software suite, developed by our in-house tech team.

Hardware and design

HELKO is a highly modular mechatronic system, designed to adapt to your physical and functional operational constraints.

  • Customised coupling system, compatible with your carts, workbenches, or containers.
  • Bespoke cart design: simple, electrified, or equipped with roller conveyors, sensors, or other automatic loading/unloading systems.
  • Modular hardware architecture based on standard electronic components selected for reliability and global availability ≥10 years.
  • Additional sensors integrable on demand: unique trolley identification, load recognition, operator interaction, and more.
  • Customisable functional options regarding traction, height, speed, footprint, and accessibility.
  • Possibility to design AMR versions rigidly connected to the cart for specific workflows or particular applications.
  • Integration of third-party hardware on specific request (e.g., accessories, controls, I/O devices).
  • Custom aesthetic and colour design, developed in collaboration with Dario Lopez Studio, ideal for high-visibility environments (clinics, laboratories, showrooms).

Software and operational logic

The HELKO software suite is entirely developed by Eureka System and our trusted partners, allowing full customisation of every operational logic according to your processes.

  • Advanced mission definition, including complex missions: punctual, cyclical, multi-point, preferential, and conditional on external events such as the production start of a batch or a machine signal.
  • Intelligent management of multi-map and multi-floor environments, with configurable priorities and constraints for lanes, departments, or critical nodes.
  • Integration with other enterprise IT/OT systems like MES, MOM, ERP, WMS, via RESTful APIs, OPC-UA, or SQL.
  • Capability to implement customised logics for human-machine interaction, special event signalling, and dynamic control of cart and robot availability.
  • Dedicated configurations for just-in-time department logistics, scheduled movements on shifts/time slots, or automatic replenishment, also through the AI TALOS module.

Interfaces and control pages

HELKO’s HMI control interfaces are also configurable according to the plant’s and operators’ needs.

  • Customisable web applications and interfaces: functions, roles, views, panels, user access and authorisations.

  • Integration with external devices: physical buttons, presence or proximity sensors, RFID readers, automatic call systems, multifunction buttons, lifts, automatic doors, and traffic lights, enabling navigation on multiple levels and shared environments with forklifts and personnel.

  • Customisation of operator interaction workflows: receipt confirmation, manual loading, controlled coupling, anomaly management.

  • Multilingual support and localisation of software interfaces, suitable for international plants or environments with high personnel turnover.
